This is a wonderful vintage CHIEF JOSEPH PENDLETON COAT with HOOD. Native American inspired and Made in the USA, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Beaver State. Women’s size Med or Large. It might work for other sizes as it is open and is not intended to be buttoned. This flattering length comes just to the knee on a 5′ 5 woman. Notice the perfectly matched pattern inside and out. There are two hidden side pockets, very deep. See next to last photo of pocket. Chest: 25 measured flat, armpit to armpit without lapping. Length, neckline to hem: 37. Pre-owned and has been worn; you may want to dry clean it before storing for summer. There is a small hole in the center of the back at the edge of one red spike; see photo #12. This is not serious and could be darned. The cuffs, front, hood and hem are bound and finished in Pendleton’s felt binding and the cuffs and front that would ordinarily show wear are free of wear or rubbing. I see no moth damage. A wonderful coat and great collectible that will be a keeper for decades. From a non-smoking, no pets home. International buyers are welcome. Please be sure the jacket is what you want and check measurements provided for fitment. Billy Martins is A Fine Western Lifestyle Company that opened in 1978. They sell high end leather products. They have a store in New York and a store in California. A lot of the big Country and Western singers, movie stars etc. Not sure how old this coat might be. Jacket was made by Aviva. Tag says Milano, guess that is the style. Looks like a custom hand made jacket. It is a nice looking coat and looks well made. I do not think you will see many of these around. Outside looks good, leather is real soft like lambskin, not sure what type of leather it is. There is a small spot on the lining, hardly noticeable, may easily come off, I have not tried. No tags other than the one shown in the collar. Size is M, like a 40 to 42. Has 2 front pockets with flaps. Nice silky like lining. Measures 21s across the chest armpit to armpit. Sleeves are 23s. Measures 35s from collar to bottom. I would compare the measurements against a jacket that you can wear. Weighs 2 1/2 lbs. Nice looking well made coat. Probably one of a kind. I do not think Billy Martins sells leather coats anymore so this could be old and a rare find.
