An authentic vintage denim jacket from the late 40s or 50s. By the brand Tex’N’ Jacket which is stamped on all the snap buttons. Features two front patch pockets with novelty horseshoe embroidery. No visible selvedge line however other “Tex N” brand vintage denim items have been known to use cone mills denim and not all older vintage piece show the selvedge line. Originally this item was made for a young boy however it fits excellently on a woman’s frame and is quite the collectors piece for any vintage denim fanatic. Sourced from an estate, the family remembered this piece being a part of their childhood memories. 22 length (neck seam to hem). 18 sleeve (underarm seam to cuff). CONDITION The natural distressing, wear, and fade shown throughout every inch of this piece is the kind you can only get from age. It has beautiful coloring in the denim and extra worn areas around the neckline, wrists, and back. Gorgeous hand stamped brass rivets. While it is well worn, there plenty of life left in this uniquely one of a kind piece. (see photos for all cosmetic details before purchasing). This piece was found with multiple seam pops mostly along the right underarm, both elbows, and shoulder. We have had all popped seams completely repairs by a local denim-smith on a period vintage machine to get it back to wearable condition yet maintaining its desired imperfect vintage look. NOTE the chest repair with white stitching is an original repair from the first owner and left it as is for authenticity (in photos). This jacket has a leather appliqued “Tree of Life” sort of design on the back. On the sides are braided ties that you can use to cinch the jacket to fit. Has a zippered closure that starts a few inches up also to give you that nice curvy fit. Braided ties at the wrists. Labeled S but please check these measurements against a jacket that fits you well. From shoulder to shoulder across the back is 15 inches. From underarm to underarm is 20 inches. Sleeve length is 24 inches and from shoulder to hem it is 20 inches. Worn a few times but looks new. Beautiful Western Suede Fringe Jacket, made by Scully. Bought this last year, and only wore it 2-3 times out. It is extremely soft (I believe Boar Suede) and features a lovely Paisley embroidered design, with faux Turquoise embellishm. Features pockets, and hook front closure. Inside lining is beautiful as well, soft satin material. It just feels like you’re wrapped in a light, soft cloud when wearing it! Badass but with a touch of elegance. It’s a size SMALL, but runs a tad big and long (if you’re short) Could fit S/M. I love this jacket, but in reality I never wear it. The few times I did, I got tons of compliments. Most Biya hoodies are a knit sweater material but this one is more like a silky athletic fabric. Tags say 65% Modal and 35% tarylene. Never heard of the second fiber before! But it does have a silky stretchy feel. Covered in some of the loveliest embroidery I’ve ever seen on a Biya jacket! Some geometric and some floral. Black fabric with colorful embroidery. 16 inches from side to side across back from shoulder to shoulder. 20 inches underarm to underarm. Laid flat and measured without stretching but does have stretch to it. I have this same jacket in large and extra large and surprisingly the measurements are about identcal. Even without the embroidery this would be a wonderful coat. The leather is amazingly distressed. The embroidery and leather lacing just brings it up another level. Has embroidery across the front and sleeve ends. Lacing at sleeve ends and along the sides. The sleeve ends are slit and you can roll them back if you prefer. It’s a really cool look. Metal buttons up the front. This is labeled large. 16 1/2 inches across the back from seam to seam. Measures 21 inches underarm to underarm. Sleeve is 25 inches. Length from shoulder to hem is 37 inches. So measure another vest or jacket from underarm to underarm and see if this will work. This seems on the smaller side of large so it’s likely to fit a medium as well. Should be about knee length. This is new without tags and in excellent shape.
