A stunning custom men’s vintage western style frock coat made by Rickrageous. This is one of her older jackets as it features the label, Rickrageous of Kansas City. These exquisite pieces of cowboy couture were made by Denise Strickland, but she is no longer creating them. You will find examples of her work in the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in Fort Worth. Many celebrities still wear her creations too, such as Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, and steel guitar player Cindy Cash Dollar. You will not find any garment of this quality off the rack. This jacket is made from only the finest worsted wool gabardine. It is lined with black silk or a silk/acetate blend. The jacket is black, with tan piping on the four smiley pockets and tan piping on the back darts. The yoke of the jacket is burgundy red and is trimmed in the front and back with tan piping. The 3 buttons down the front are cloth covered. Each sleeve also has 3 smaller cloth covered buttons and two tan darts. I can’t stress enough how perfect the workmanship is on this piece. Also, you can look carefully at every inch of it, and you would still think it had never been worn. It measures 33 inches in length in the back, from the bottom of the collar to the end of the jacket. The sleeves measure approximately 35 inches from the middle of the back of the collar to the end of the sleeves. It measures 22 inches across the front from armpit seam to armpit seam. The shoulders are slightly padded. The previous owner wears a 44R in off the rack suit coats. This is a remarkably beautiful piece of vintage cowboy couture clothing in absolutely pristine condition. There are no pin holes, no stains, no tears. It was obviously very well cared for. Also, Rickrageous clothing has become highly collectible, in part because of its high quality fabric and meticulous workmanship. The lucky man who wears this will get endless compliments.
