Vintage Pendleton Wool Blanket Jacket Coat Mens Chimayo Style VGUC Large USA

This is a really good looking classic Pendleton bomber type jacket. The design is similar to a Chimayo weaving. But it really reminds me of a Thunderbird also. Done in a grayish blue color. Tags says large and that is the men’s size. If a woman wanted to wear this it translates roughly into a ladies XL to XXL. 19 inches across the back from shoulder to shoulder. 24 inches underarm to underarm. 26 inches from shoulder to hem. This is preowned and has been worn and has just a little overall wear. No holes, moth damage or anything like that. There is wear at the ends of the sleeves and by the zipper at the bottom of the jacket. The warp threads are getting gradually exposed. The warp threads are a stronger material and the weft threads are the soft fluffier wool. The fluffier threads wear down more quickly and leave the stronger warp threads exposed. A collector’s dream, this Pendleton coat is in superb condition (see details below). The gray base color contrasts beautifully with the black trim and vibrant Native pattern. The iconic High Grade Western Wear line has been a staple in the West for nearly 50 years and captures its spirit like no other brand. If you are looking for a truly hard to find Pendleton in rare condition, this is it. This model does not button at the collar. If you are a serious collector, you know this coat is truly rare. No rips, holes, anything that I can definitely call a stain. I didn’t find any evidence of moth damage. No signs of wear. Labels: All are present, including the ” dry clean only ” tag. The smaller size tag shows some discoloration other wise the tags are show no wear. No rips holes or stains. My Condition definitions (“defects” are holes, rips, stains, or missing or broken parts). VINTAGE ITEMS ARE 25+ YEARS OLD. May show minor imperfections and minor wear but taken care of very well. All measurements were taken laying flat. No measurements are doubled.
