An authentic vintage denim jacket from the late 40s or 50s. By the brand Tex’N’ Jacket which is stamped on all the snap buttons. Features two front patch pockets with novelty horseshoe embroidery. No visible selvedge line however other “Tex N” brand vintage denim items have been known to use cone mills denim and not all older vintage piece show the selvedge line. Originally this item was made for a young boy however it fits excellently on a woman’s frame and is quite the collectors piece for any vintage denim fanatic. Sourced from an estate, the family remembered this piece being a part of their childhood memories. 22 length (neck seam to hem). 18 sleeve (underarm seam to cuff). CONDITION The natural distressing, wear, and fade shown throughout every inch of this piece is the kind you can only get from age. It has beautiful coloring in the denim and extra worn areas around the neckline, wrists, and back. Gorgeous hand stamped brass rivets. While it is well worn, there plenty of life left in this uniquely one of a kind piece. (see photos for all cosmetic details before purchasing). This piece was found with multiple seam pops mostly along the right underarm, both elbows, and shoulder. We have had all popped seams completely repairs by a local denim-smith on a period vintage machine to get it back to wearable condition yet maintaining its desired imperfect vintage look. NOTE the chest repair with white stitching is an original repair from the first owner and left it as is for authenticity (in photos).
